Create a Found Object Color Wheel
A found object is anything you can find lying around. Start by finding three objects that are the primary colors: RED, YELLOW, and BLUE! Watch this video to review the primary colors: Now, it's time to look for the secondary colors: ORANGE, GREEN, and VIOLET! Add those to your wheel as well. These are the colors you can make when you mix 2 primary colors together!
If you are feeling super creative try to find objects in the tertiary colors! RED-ORANGE, YELLOW-ORANGE, YELLOW-GREEN, BLUE-GREEN, BLUE-VIOLET, and RED-VIOLET. These are the colors you can make when you mix one primary color with one secondary color. DRAWING CHALLENGE! extend your color wheel project by drawing it using a variety of colored pencils or crayons. I would love to display your finished color wheel on this web page! You are invited to have your family help you photograph your color wheel and email it to me at [email protected]. Check back tomorrow to see your color wheel on display! |
