Stop Motion Animation
|
Check out this amazing stop motion animation created by a team of Clearmont artists in 2018! 4th and 5th graders, I had a 3-day lesson planned for you in the coming weeks. I am excited to see what you can create at home using this lesson!
Stop Motion Animation is a long series of photographs that, when put together in a video (flip book style), create the illusion of movement! View the Andymation's Flipbook video on the left! CREATE A FLIPBOOK You can create a flipbook if you have post-it notes at home. Draw one or two simple objects on the first page, for example a circle in the middle and a hoop on the side. Draw the objects again and again on fresh pages, moving one or both of your objects slightly. CREATE STOP MOTION VIDEO It may take a little time to set up, but once you figure this out it will be well worth it as you can enjoy hours of creative animation making! 1) You can access Stop Motion Studio on Google Play! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cateater.stopmotionstudio&hl=en_US 2) Gather 3 Things: A simple backdrop and 2 simple objects or toys. 3) Open Stop Motion Studio, set up your objects, and steady your Chromebook to assure it does not move as you photograph lots and lots of pictures. You may find the video below helpful as you get started, but I know some of you already have some experience with Stop Motion Studio and will be able to figure out the application on your own. |
